Gang of Four

Great concerts will stay in your mind forever, whether they feature hard rock bands shaking the room with their bass, or folk artists taking you on a musical journey. These huge shows start with the simple ordering of a concert ticket, before the gig itself blows you away, making you see the music of the band in a completely new way – songs you might not have liked before take on a new meaning and the others sound even better. There’s nothing like it. It is why so many people put so much effort into purchasing music tickets and making sure that they are there on the front row just in time for the show to begin.

One show many will be striving to see is Gang of Four, who will be arriving at various locations in September, including such venues as the HMV Picture House on the 18th. These rockers, described as post-punk and arch-pop, hail from Leeds and feature Jon King and Andy Gill, plus various different people who have stepped into the shoes of bassist and drummer over the years. Though they were originally a fixture of the music scene in the late 1970s/early 1980s, they have always had a presence, appearing at various points over the years and ready to take crowds back for their tour in the Autumn. Not one to be missed.
